Addressing Thank You Notes? -
Bridal Shower Etiquette
Should guests address
their own thank you notes?
A good deal of disagreement seems to be caused by this question,
but the general feeling seems to be that this is not good
bridal shower etiquette.
However, a record should be kept of the name and address
of each guest and their gift - this could be noted by the
hostess or by a nominated guest when the gift is opened -
and a thank you card or note should be sent by the bride-to-be
at a later date.
Having said this the guests addressing their own thank yous
may be considered quite acceptable in your particular area.
If you’re in any doubt it’s always a good idea
to check the views of others.
